Early WWII / WW2 U.S. Army, U.S. Navy, M-1917A1 Combat Helmet, Used by U.S. Navy SEABEE Sailor, Good Condition.
Original Early WWII U.S. Navy, U.S. Army M-1917A1 Combat Helmet complete with original leather liner and canvas chin strap.
The M-1917A1 Combat Helmet retains its original Olive Drab Paint and has never been re-painted.
The left side of the Combat Helmet has remnants of a WWII U.S. Navy SEABEE’S painted insignia (see pictures).
Very Low Heat Stamp Number under the Helmet Rim is "7B".
The original leather Helmet Liner is in good condition and shows some wear and usage.
The Canvas Chin Strap on the right side has a tear about 6” inches from the buckle end of the Chin Strap (see pictures).
There is some writing on the Helmet Liner and possibly has a U.S. Navy Ships name and Sailor’s name ? (the writing is in pencil and is difficult to clearly read)
